Emoji break language barriers and make communication of emotions more efficient and have become an important part of our daily communication worldwide. Too important to be left out of their users hands. OpenMoji is an open source emoji library and an attempt to democratize emoji.
The use of gestures today suffers from a key problem which prevents them from gaining widespread application. Gestures are not precise. We set out to experiment with various forms of feedback and created a working prototype with our findings.
This project is a redesign of the public library of Stuttgart’s online catalogue. As a redesign, we analyzed the current catalogue and created an improved concept using our findings.
Formerly one of the four largest lakes in the world, the Aral Sea has been steadily shrinking since the 1960s. With this project, we want to give a comprehensive overview of the greatest man made intervention in history of nature. The project was awarded with the Digital Talents Award from the Annual Multimedia Awards 2018.

Being a designer means to gather and create ideas and connect them in new ways while maintaining a strategic working process. My main motivation is essentially about grasping and understanding any kind of topic no matter the complexity. Synthesizing findings into great products, concepts and visions is one of my greatest joys.
Sheets of paper are my number one tool, starting from big and broad strokes until I reach the smallest details. Digitally, I mainly work with Sketch and the Adobe Creative Cloud. For bigger projects I automate my workflow with tools like Data Populator and for special occasions, I don’t shy away from the occasional line of code.
